I've been sick!

Salli's Divorce Support Blog

So sorry to neglect my readers these past few weeks, but I became ill the first week of August and I'm just now on my feet again. Good life lesson: WASH YOUR HANDS! There are bugs and coodies EVERYWHERE!!

My thoughts about divorce this morning are mostly in explanation as to why I felt compelled to create a website to support those facing the challenges of divorce. Don't get me wrong. I do not promote divorce. Divorce is the last resort when all other venues have been exhausted in trying to save a marriage. Much like amputation, divorce is an emergency procedure and is not the first option to consider when a marriage shows signs of strain.

All marriages go through difficulty; most go through severe difficulty. But like all else in life, when you pull together, you're stronger in the end. Opposition is not necessarily a bad thing; challenges can show you what you're made of, giving both partners more to love and admire in each other.

No, Sunnydawn.com wasn't created to encourage folks to choose divorce. Sunnydawn.com is here to help those who are on the other side of the divorce decision. Especially members of the Church who never imagined divorce would be a part of their experience. Having experienced divorce in mid-life, and having no clue or plan on how to proceed at the time, I decided now that I'm in a better place in life, to share what I found useful and encouraging.

Please explore the pages of this site and share with me what you learn that is helpful. If there is a topic you'd like me to address, let me know!

While you're at Sunnydawn.com check out "Clicking on a Miracle" ! Trust me, it is the cutest LDS love story out there! It tells about how and why my 26 year marriage ended, and how--just three years later--I could marry a virtual stranger that I met on the internet after only 3 months of talking and two face-to-face visits! The Lord's hand was there. Read our story and see how it happened. You'll love it! I promise you!
