Second Stage of Divorce Grief--part 2

"I have also found toning to be a very effective method to release anger. With toning, you take a deep breath and then make a vocal sound sustaining it for the length of the breath. Then take another deep breath and repeat until you feel you have fully released the charge. Finally, there are anger management classes and counseling resources to learn appropriate methods of expressing anger. My good friend, Taber Shadburne, M.A., is a counselor who is really gifted at coaching people in expressing their anger and any other emotional charge in a healthy manner. He taught me a dialog method to express my feelings that works marvelously. You can contact him at 510-655-5000 or if you would like to learn more about this technique. The critical point here is that it is necessary in your recovery to express the feelings of anger you experience and to do so in such a way that you don't alienate anyone with your actions, or harm anyone, iincluding yourself."

Great stuff! More tomorrow!
